Aceste cuvinte fac parte din capodpera lui Shakespeare - Hamlet - si sunt ultimele cuvinte pe care Hamlet, panit de moarte, le rosteste inainte de-a inchide ochii.
Au deevenit o expresie prin care se intelege ca nu mai urmeaza nimic: liniste fara sfarsit. |

Adica, lasii, fricosii, mor de mai multe ori inaintea mortii lor .Citat celebru din Shakespeare din tragedia Iulius Cezar. Calpurnia, sotia lui Cezar, presimtind ca-l pandeste o mare primejdie, il roaga sa nu plece de acasa, caci ar putea fi omorat. Cezar ii raspunde: “Inainte de-a muri se prapadeste cel las de multe ori (traducerea lui Tudor Vianu).
In cocluzie aceste cuvinte reprezinta o infierare adresata lasitatii si un elogiu curajului. |
